THIS IS AN INFORMATIONAL ALERT: Jet Edge has upgraded its standard on all new 1 Quart Accumulators to SAE Standard rated threads, replacing previously used NPT threads, for an improved seal. The new SAE thread is not interchangeable with the NPT thread.

PURPOSE
An Accumulator smooths out pulses and protects the hydraulic components from pressure spikes that occur while cycling your Ultra High Pressure Intensifier Pump. The Accumulator's bladder is pressurized with nitrogen and requires periodic charging to maintain its pressure.
SAE thread fittings seal against an O-ring, requiring less torque to seal than an NPT thread fitting. Jet Edge has deemed SAE threads are better suited than NPT threads for this high pressure application.

All Jet Edge Intensifier Pumps with 1 quart Accumulator part number 28533 are impacted. Contact Parts Sales if you are not sure which Accumulator was supplied with your Ultra High Pressure Intensifier Pump.
DETAILS
The proper kit is determined by the model of your Intensifier Pump. The kits include a new accumulator and the fittings to attach it to the hydraulic system of the intensifier pump. See the reference chart in the Technical Bulletin to determine which kit is correct for your pump.
